About Plitvice Outdoors

Why we begin with broker compatibility

Software for people with defined trading rules

Plitvice Outdoors is a small software business in Bloemfontein, South Africa. We build and configure tools that connect documented trading strategies to supported broker interfaces, test those strategies against historical data and show account-related events in a monitoring dashboard. Our clients are traders and small teams who already have a process they want to examine or automate. We do not ask anyone to accept an unexplained trading model. We start by asking what the rules say, what the broker permits and who will supervise the account after setup.

How the work has developed

Since 2021, our work has focused on the practical details between a strategy signal and a broker response. A project begins with a written scope covering order types, account access, test assumptions and the conditions that should pause execution. We then configure the workflow, check expected and exceptional cases, and hand over operating notes a client can use without guessing what happened. An indigo-toned dashboard may make status easier to scan, but readable logs and a clear stopping procedure matter more than the colour of a chart.

The steps behind a typical engagement

  1. Scope

We record the strategy rules, intended broker, available access and questions that must be resolved before configuration.

  2. Configure

We build the agreed workflow and identify where broker capabilities or data availability limit the original plan.

  3. Test

We review repeatable test cases, including selected rejected instructions and interruptions where the interface allows them.

  4. Handover

We provide configuration notes, operating guidance and the agreed route for questions after delivery.

The decisions that stay with the client

We provide software configuration and technical explanations, not investment advice, brokerage or a managed trading account. Clients choose their strategies, review their broker's terms and decide whether to use an automated workflow with real money. A test can help expose assumptions but cannot establish how future markets will behave. A broker may change its interface, restrict account access or experience an interruption outside our control. When a requested connection or control is not technically suitable, we say so during scoping rather than presenting it as a completed feature.

The handover should leave someone able to answer three questions: what instruction was sent, what the broker reported and how to stop the workflow when those answers do not match expectations.
