Broker Integration

Does your broker support the required orders?

Check interface access, permissions and error handling before connecting strategy rules to an account.

Map the full order journey

We review the broker's available interface against the client's instruments, order types and account permissions. Where a suitable connection is available, we configure authentication, map order requests and responses, and test how the workflow handles rejected or interrupted instructions. Scope and timing depend on the broker's documentation and access process; a straightforward connection typically takes several weeks. The client receives a connection map, configuration notes, test observations and operating instructions. Broker access and approval remain subject to the broker's own requirements.

Four stages of a broker connection

  1. Access

We identify the interface and permissions available to the account without asking the client to send account passwords through the contact form.

  2. Mapping

We compare required instruments and order types with the broker's documented capabilities and record any mismatch.

  3. Testing

We check requests, responses and selected interruptions in a suitable test setting where the broker provides one.

  4. Handover

We document connection status checks, common errors and the steps for disabling automated instructions.

What compatibility really means

Available interface

The broker must provide an appropriate way for the configured tool to exchange account and order information.

Account permissions

A supported interface does not mean every account can submit every instrument or order type.

Observable responses

The workflow needs to distinguish accepted, rejected and uncertain instructions so exceptions can be reviewed.

When a connection is not a fit

We may advise against an integration if the broker has no appropriate interface, the required order type is unavailable or essential account events cannot be checked reliably. A broker can change its systems or access conditions after a setup is completed, and availability can differ between test and live accounts. We do not represent the broker, open accounts or decide whether its products suit a client. The account holder remains responsible for reviewing broker terms and live account activity.

Name the broker and describe the order types your written strategy needs; do not send login credentials.
